I assume you are talking about a portable construction heater or something, not a furnace?
If it is an unvented appliance you need to provide at least 1 square inch of ventilation for every thousand btus.
So you need a fresh air opening of roughly 8" x 10" to provide adequate air for complete combustion as well as to allow for spent gases to get out. If you burn propane once, it is very clean. You are only producing carbon dioxide and water vapour. But if you have inadequate ventillation and reburn those spent gases, you will now be producing carbon monoxide in a big way! Not Good!
Also…portable heaters like that should never be used in a building where people are sleeping. Actually, it is illegal to do so! If you have it in there for temporary heat while you change out a furnace or something, just make sure you give it lots of fresh air! and don’t leave it unattended.
as long as you have proper clearances around it …sounds expensive tho…
